Youth
The aim of our young people's work is to give children and young people the opportunity to learn about the Christian faith in a practical and interesting way. It is our hope that on the basis of this learning they will at some time decide to make that faith their own and this should be a free decision without any pressure.
Our children's and young people's groups are as follows:
| Crèche | Babies & young children | 0-3 yrs |
| Climbers | Pre-school and infant school age | 3-7 yrs |
| Explorers | Junior school age (years 3-6) | 7-11 yrs |
| Pathfinders | Secondary school (years 7-9) | 11-14 yrs |
| Club Nite | Secondary school (years 7-9) | 11-14 yrs |
| Rock Solid | Secondary school (years 7-8) | 11-13 yrs |
| CYFA | Secondary school (years 10+) | 14-18 yrs |
| Youth Alpha | Secondary school | 11-18 yrs |

Holiday Club & Kidz Connect
Each year, Holy Trinity Church runs a five day holiday club for all primary school-aged children in the local community. Each day is a mixture of games, songs, learning from the Bible, video, memory verses and craft activities. There are also special outings, family events and a Sunday morning service to conclude the week's fun.
Our leaders are passionate about sharing this Good News with the children in our community, and we hope and pray that the children experience the fun and life of following Jesus Christ.
Following a similar format to our holiday club, these events often link with significant times in the year such as our Alternative to Halloween evening, as well as Christmas and Easter parties.
For more information on the next children's event, check the latest news section!
During our main Sunday services, there are childrens’ groups on three weeks out of four. So, starting with the youngest first...
Crèche
A crèche is provided for each Sunday 10.30am service. This is run by a team of volunteers who enjoy the opportunity to spend time with the under 3s. Parents are welcome to either leave or stay with their children during the session. Drinks and biscuits are provided as appropriate!
This is for children aged 3 to 7 years old. They do a variety of activities relating to the Christian faith including Bible stories, cut and pasting, colouring in, music and craft.
Explorers
Explorers
Caters for 7 to 11 year olds. They explore the Christian faith in a fun and practical way with lots of active games, drama, 'hands-on' activities and challenges.
Youth
We have a lot of fun with games and activities, but we also look at the issues that are important to us, like friends, war, poverty and truth. It is also a great place to meet friends from Club Nite, our Friday night club.
This is a traditional Youth Club held every other Friday night from 7.30 9.00pm. Only for students in Years 7 to 9, there’s pool, table tennis, craft, sports, games consoles, a cafe bar with refreshments and more! There’s always the chance to catch up with old friends and make some new ones too.
Entrance is £1 and admission is given to members only. If you would like a members' application form, please contact our youth worker, Micki Carey, on 07846 872 951 or 01205 368721.
Rock Solid – Launches May 14th @ 7.30pm
For students currently in Years 7 & 8, Rock Solid exists to share the gospel through friendships, fun and interactive activities and always includes a challenge to respond. Rock Solid has helped hundreds of churches to connect with 11-14s in ways that are fun, relevant and exciting. It will also provide our young people with the opportunity to be involved in inviting their friends and peers and in "stepping out" to share God's love with them!
CYFA
Rock Solid – Launches May 14th @ 7.30pm
CYFA
This is a group for young people in Years 10 to 13 at school or college. We come from different churches across the town and meet together to have fun and learn more about God. As well as Bible Studies and challenges there are games and activities, and time to have fun with friends. There are opportunities to ask questions and think for yourselves about what you believe. A group of about 20 students, with an average weekly attendance of approximately 14, we meet on Sundays at 8pm in the church lounge.Space is a small discipleship group for CYFA members wanting to further explore the Christian faith. We meet at 6.45pm before CYFA on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays in the month. We worship together, learn from, and pray for, each other. Come and be challenged and encouraged to live out your faith for God!
We also run Youth Alpha Courses giving young people the opportunity to explore the Christian faith and also to prepare them for Confirmation where appropriate. Schoolswork
We currently take assemblies in a number of schools in the area - St Mary's RC and Tower Road Primary Schools, William Lovell CE Secondary School and John Fielding Special Community School. We take workshops in the primary schools, seeing each Year 6 as they prepare to move to Secondary education and have also taken a series of workshops on Easter with Year 4s at Tower Road. Children in Year 1 at Tower Road also come to the church as they look at baptism.
Throughout the year we welcome John Fielding to the church for a number of services, at Easter, Summer, Harvest and Christmas.
We have growing links with Haven High Technology College and have taken lessons on Easter and Forgiveness. We have also teamed up with the RoadHOG bus and worked with Years 7 & 8 looking at community and how we, as the church, want them to be a part of our community. We are exploring opportunities to develop our schoolswork links, in these schools and in others in the area.
Hi5 is a holiday club style project that runs in the Ashlawn Out Of School Club held in the Trinity Centre. We are invited in once a month to the club and use songs, stories, games and craft to introduce the children to the Christian faith. The children attend St Mary's and Tower Road schools and so this links in well with our work there.
